Great post, Mark. At one time, a good education was a sign of excellence. Today, as more and more education opportunities have been "dumbed down" to protect the self esteem of the participants, people go after higher degrees just because everybody else does it. The need for excellence in order to succeed and prosper is still there, but diplomas and degrees are no longer the mark of excellence.

My husband and I were just talking about this very issue last night. True democracy leads to anarchy; majority/mob rules. We live in a Republic; the masses elect local reps, etc. to make decisions on BEHALF of us. That's why it is paramount to vote and let these men and women KNOW HOW WE FEEL about the issues at hand.

The constitution is an amazing document. Have you read The 5000 Year Leap? A MUST!
