The 17th Century gnostic philosopher, Sir Francis Bacon, coined a phrase that’s been used in the
success and motivational training arena for years, “Knowledge is Power.” Man’s quest for knowledge has pervaded our society for 1000s of years.

I believe, knowledge is not power, it’s the “application of knowledge” that creates value and empowers others. Granted, one can apply knowledge for good or evil but knowledge applied for self improvement and the benefit of others is empowering.

My statement, “Empower Your World” is not just referring to people in the world around us, it’s “our” world, “our environment”. We can plot our true north course in life and make changes and adjustments along the way. You and I have the ability to create our own success environment. We can choose what we see, hear,say and how we react to the random or even self imposed circumstances.

Circumstances and timing are never perfect for any worthwhile cause. Whether you’re getting married, having a child, starting a business, loosing weight or being consistent with your exercise routine, we have to decide to focus on our outcome and overcome the obstacles that are sure to hinder us along the way.

Hollywood perpetuates this philosophy and belief that our dreams might just come true; some day, some how. Many are enslaved by false hopes and a sense of randomness. If we leave things to chance, life’s circumstances will definitely determine our outcome — it’s the path of least resistance.

Dreams can be ambiguous and up for interpretation, but a well defined vision is motivating and attainable. Your vision will create your reality.  How do you envision your life?  What do you see yourself doing a month from now, a year from now, or ten years from now?

The Power of Vision: Do you have a compelling vision for your future?  Success in life is not a secret, mystical formula, it’s quite simple really.  I believe we’re not here by chance. Our lives are meaningful and purposeful when we do what we are passionate about. We take part in the role and responsibility of plotting, adjusting, and maintaining our course.
